A traditional Middle Eastern spice blend made of dried herbs and toasted sesame. Za'atar recipes vary greatly depending on region and specific blends are closely guarded kitchen secrets. Habibi's za'atar is made and mixed in house and is Gluten-Free.
Classically, za'atar is used on Manousheh bread (Arabic flatbread) or used as a bread dip with EVOO. We also love it as spice blend in almost anything. Try as a marinade or rub for meat, mixed into salad dressing, on eggs or tofu or sprinkle it over toast with hummus.
