Falafel Salad

"C’est la Vie" the Falafel Salad 

You can’t go wrong with a power protein filled falafel patties topped with Habibi’s Lebanese Style Hummus. These are not traditional falafels but does that really matter?  Have fun playing around with recipes and make them your own! The best part of these patties is that you can bake them in the oven instead of frying them in oil.


1 can Chickpeas, rinsed and drained
2 large Carrots
1⁄4 onion, cut into chunks
4 TBSP mixed chopped parsley and cilantro
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 tsp baking powder
1⁄2 tsp ground cumin
1⁄2 tsp ground coriander
1⁄4 cup chickpea flour
Salt and pepper to taste

Handfuls of Spinach
Cherry Tomatoes
Diced Cucumber
Diced Red Peppers

Lebanese Style Hummus 

*Utilize banana peppers and hot sauce for added heat and flavour


Shred carrots through food processor, add chickpeas and all other ingredients to pulse together until dough like mixture forms; scraping down bowl as necessary. Scoop out spoonful’s of mixture and place on lined baking sheet and press down slightly. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes per side until golden brown and a bit crunchy. Place on top of salad ingredients and top with hummus, hot sauce and any other desired fixings.
